Would you need to set up a new connection setting for file#1? Or can you just use the preconfigured setting you created with file#2?
Simply use the working one for file#2 and everything's fine.
Thanks fog!

The_Frog, thank you for bringing back another game, awesome news. I hope you get to enjoy it with us sometime. Also, happy birthday!
Edit: Do we need the Japanese game to play as with File #2?

I experienced some bugs on file 1 and some errors.... I am willing to help if I am a beta tester again.

Leny, blackmailing doesn't work, it only weakens your position. It's your choice to share bugs/errors you found with the community. If you don't want the server to be improved and only want to play the games for free, well, noone will blame you, 95% of the users have the same attitude.

Sorry cant edit posts. Anyways, will it be possible that the NTSC-UC versions will be supported at a later date? That would actually be best, because in all honesty I personally think there are more english speakers here who would prefer that anyways.

Short:
I am nearly 100% sure that this will not happen.

Medium:
Give me packet captures for those games, the original server software, a good documentation about the used SN@P version or captures from other PS2 SN@P games and I might be able to make it possible.

Long:
The two Biohazard Outbreak servers took a lot of time to create. And to be honest, even with the packet captures it was quite hard to figure everything out. Without them I am sure we would have given up a long time ago. The problem is that the used middleware is very different between the NTSC-J and the NTSC-U version of the game. They used SN@P instead of KDDI and as far as I know nobody has the packet captures for the NTSC-U games (not even for any other SN@P based game). My only option would be to reverse engineer the game executable and guess the packet structure, the inner workings of the client and what the server would have to send to make the client work correctly. This is a task that takes months if you're doing it fulltime and if you have the proper software. I lack of both (time and software). So unless someone comes and pays my bills for a half year or so, buys the needed software and has very good arguments why another Outbreak server should be created, the chances of a comeback for Outbreak NTSC-U online are slim to zero. I mean, really, the only reason to create a REOB NTSC-U server would be to show that it's possible. The different language is not argument enough.

This was a great year for several projects. 8)

SaveMGO got a new server, Project M released version 3.0 including all characters, and we got 2 new servers for both Outbreaks.

2013 was a great year.
