I just want to say: Thank You

Hi there! I've been aware of some of the Outbreak server stuff for years now, but ever since that one project that started and never heard back from it, I thought projects like this were dead. However, seeing this now, with both File 2 AND 1 up online, I just want to say what an amazing job you guys have done.

I actually wouldn't have been aware of this if not for a random chance of me just wanting to look up Resident Evil Outbreak on Google again, and noticed how the File 2 website is actually still up. So it made me want to check to see if the File 1 site was still up also (it's not, and I really just want to go there for the choose your adventure game anyways), and I ended up here, reading about this wonderful news.

Really, I'm just amazed by the love for this series of games to have fans willing to remake the online and put it back for the few that still want to play this (and I'm sure for you who REALLY wanted to play this again). This is amazing work, and thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for doing this.

It isn't X-Mas when I found this, but this is an amazing gift for Outbreak fans. I REALLY hope I do get around to doing this myself, I would love to go though this game again!

Thanks so much! I'm currently trying to get everything up, and I have several PS2s (just got to remember which one was the japanese one XD) but the main thing I want to ask is, can japanese PS2s use the American Hard Drive? I want to play Outbreak and I never got a chance to play it with the hard drive install, so can I do that by plugging in my english PS2 Hard Drive into a japanese PS2? Fat model of course.

OH! And also....WOOOW. Decided to give the whole game series a try again, and boy am I out of practice. I feel like a total newbie. Maybe it's because of the X and O thing though XD Enjoying it though, it's like my first time all over again.

Hmm......nevermind about the hard drive...Sorry everyone >_<

Been trying to load my patched copies of Outbreak File 1 and 2, and it just won't load on my modded PS2 with the Hard Drive. It looks like it'll connect with the network adapter, but it's refusing to work when I plug in the HDD...

I still want to play, however I won't be able to use my hard drive...are games still allowed? I know it's recommended that I have the game installed, but I just can't get my game to load.

Annnnd nevermind then! Wow, I really wish there was an edit button on this forum...but I was able to get everything loaded up onto the Hard Drive now. Heh, it toke some time (all night in fact!) but now I should be all set to play online!

...now I just need to buy another enternet cord...

I second this. Same exact feelings when I first hopped back on the Outbreaks.

You can change the control settings in the options menu or ingame. I prefer the type-C control.

This. Type-C in the control configurations is THE exact controls from the North American Resident Evil games. Once I put on Type-C, I was playing much, much better.
